One of Mayor Naheed Nenshi’s pet-projects is falling short of expectations.
The express transit bus between the downtown core and the international airport is attracting only about half the number of riders expected.
Officials tell The Calgary Herald ridership has been good leaving the airport, but more needs to be done to get people riding to the airport.
The campaign-promised project has cost city transit $100-thousand since its launch six-months ago with between 500 and 600 riders a day, well short of the expected 1,100 riders.
