PC Nomination Stripped

Constituents in the riding of Calgary West will have a Progressive Conservative representative in the upcoming election, but it may not be the one they chose.
Shiraz Shariff has been stripped of his nomination, after being democratically elected on January 21st.
He was notified this morning of “irregularities” with the election, but says he was not explained what they were.
Shariff tells 660News the whole situation is very strange. “Tthis is the kind of thing that could happen in a third World country. Not in my Alberta,” he says.
The decision as to who will represent Calgary West will be made from a list of three, given to the Premier.
No word yet on if Shariff’s name will be on the list.
