Garage fire in Bowness

The Calgary fire department was busy battling a garage fire in Bowness late Saturday afternoon.
Just after 4:00 p.m. crews we’re called to the blaze on the 6500 block of 35th Avenue northwest.
They had to use chain saws to cut through oak boards used to cover the interior ceiling, but quickly extinguished the flames.
The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined but there we’re no injuries reported.
