Canucks searching for Oscar info

The Oscars will be handed out Sunday and according to web-search tracker Google Insights, Canadians can’t learn enough about the nominees.

In fact, Canadians are searching for Oscar information more frequently than Americans.

Over the past 30 days, the most searched-for films nominated for Best Picture are Hugo, The Help and The Artist.

Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Jean Dujardin, star of The Artist, top the list of Best Male Actor nominees searched for by Google users.

Rooney Mara is the most searched-for Best Female Actor nominee; she is the star of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Meryl Streep and Michelle Williams are also extensively searched for.
