“Live! with Kelly” is Alberta bound

Banff is about to get some big-time international attention.
“Live! with Kelly” will be shooting four shows from “the Banff centre” between April 2nd and 5th.
It’s the first time the “Live!” franchise will shoot from our Alberta, they were in P.E.I. back in 2010.
Bruce Okabe is the CEO of of Travel Alberta and tells 660News it was an eight month process to convince the show producers to shoot in Banff but the exposure it creates is well worth the effort.
“They reach about 3 million to 3.5 million daily viewers, viewers that actually watch “Live!” are right in our demographic sweet spot” says Okabe.
He says the initiative cost about $1.5-million, but the four episodes are worth about $22 million in publicity.
Banff Mayor Karen Sorensen is thrilled by the news as well.
“It’s fun for the resident and it’s fun for the visitors that are here,” says Sorensen
