Super Tuesday arrives for republican voters

U.S. states from Alaska to Georgia prepare to vote today for a republican presidential candidate, as the race to win the right to challenge U.S. President Barack Obama for the White House reaches a potentially pivotal moment.
There are ten states holding primaries or caucuses, but CNN political editor Paul Steinhauser says the big battle appears to be the Buckeye state.
“It’s all tied up here in Ohio, but Romney also needs to do well in the south, he needs to do well in Tennessee and a few other states,” he explains.
Ohio is a battleground state because of the blue-collar vote.
Rick Santorum thinks the state is still a toss-up at this point.
ABC’s Steven Portnoy is following that campaign.
“Santorum reminds crowds a few months ago, he was in the single digits, driving across Iowa in a pickup truck,” claims Portnoy.
Up for grabs today are 419 delegates, 37 per cent of what’s needed to actually clinch the nomination.
