Calgary Police say a man found dead outside a northeast police station Friday morning had been in their custody the night before.
The 67-year-old was arrested on a driving related matter in Monterrey park and after charges and paperwork were completed he was released from the police station in Saddleridge at 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police even called a cab for the man who went outside to wait for it.
His body was discovered around 7:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the station by an on-duty officer.
His death has been ruled non-criminal and police say they had no further contact with him after he was released from custody.
