Carbon Monoxide scare in NE home

The “silent killer” has dealt another close call to a Calgary family.

Emergency crews responded to a carbon monoxide call just before noon Monday at a house on Saddlehorn Crescent northeast.

A man, woman, and child were in the home at the time.  They were taken to hospital in stable condition.

Two children who also reside in the home were picked-up from school as a precaution.

The fire department reports CO levels were extremely high in the home, between 400 and 800 parts per million.

Buildings are evacuated at levels as low as 12 parts per million.
