“Canada’s Got Talent” semifinalists chosen

The first big cut has been made on “Canada’s Got Talent.”
On Sunday, in a two-hour special aired on Citytv, 200 acts from across the country were slashed to just 39 moving on to the semifinals.
After much deliberation, judges Martin Short, Stephan Moccio and Measha Brueggergosman narrowed the semifinalists to just 37, with two more entries coming from the YouTube “Last Chance Auditions.”
An episode airing at a special date and time will have the semifinalists performing live on Citytv Monday, April 2 at 9:00 p.m.
While the YouTube acts will be revealed live on another special date and time episode; Tuesday, April 3, at 7:00 p.m. local time during the first-ever results show.

The Canada’s Got Talent app allows viewers to rate acts from their mobile devices as well as track the success of each performer in real time. Starting April 2 for the semi-final round, back stage live streams will be available via the CGT app.
