Fear of being cellphone-less

If you panic when your cellphone goes missing – you aren’t alone; as a matter of fact, there’s even a name for the condition.

Nomophobia is the fear of being without your cellphone, and it’s on the rise.

A British company that specializes in digital passwords finds two-thirds of people worry about being without their phones; an increase of 15 per cent in the past four years.

The online survey finds women and 18 to 24-year-olds were most likely to suffer from nomophobia.

The cure is exposure therapy, getting used to the idea of being without a cellphone and then taking increasingly longer breaks from your phone until it feels normal.
