Offering cash to catch a killer

A Calgary father is putting up $500,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person who killed his daughter.
The body of 24-year-old Lindsay Buziak was found in a home in Saanich, B.C. in February 2008.
The realtor was stabbed to death while showing a home to a prospective client.
Police say even though she wasn’t involved in any criminal activity at the time, she may have been targeted because one of her friends was picked-up in connection with a massive cocaine bust a year earlier.
Jeff Buziak says since putting up the massive cash reward, he has received a number of possible new leads in the case which he’s passed on to police.
He and a group of volunteers also recently blitzed the area of his daughter’s killing, distributing letters to surrounding homes and businesses.
Investigators are voicing some concern about the private cash reward, which is believed to be the largest ever offered in Canadian history.
