People living in Springbank are rallying to prevent a massive development that could see the construction of a 10,000-person village.
Two dozen residents of the rural community just west of the city held an emergency meeting Monday night.
The first phase is expected to go before Rocky View Council Tuesday and opponents hope it votes to overturn the 2008 land approval from past councillors.
The density of the project has yet to be approved.
The development, Harmony, would feature smaller lots about 13.2 metres wide, a village core and condos.
The project is slated to go adjacent to Springbank airport.
