Banff thrilled to host UK lotto winners

After winning more than 148 million pounds, or $230-million Canadian dollars, a UK couple plans to take a trip Banff with their jackpot.
Gillian and Adrian Bayford were announced as Britain’s second-biggest lottery winners, and while Gillian has her eyes set on a new car, Adrian would like to visit the Rockies by train.
That’s welcome news for Banff Lake Louise tourism; marketing director Kurt Schroeder tells The Calgary Sun it’s great to know one of Canada’s national icons is on their minds.
The parents of young children tell ‘The Independent’ newspaper it’s going to be nice not to worry about money anymore.
