NHL players offered loans during the lockout

A Canadian luxury asset lender says it can help cash strapped NHL players who are not getting pay cheques during the current league shutdown.

The founder of Zillidy Inc tells 660News, he doesn’t expect any superstars to take them up on their offer, but he does expect some inquiries if the work stoppage drags on.

Steven Uster says although NHL players may be asset rich, many of them rely on their salaries to provide them with liquidity.

Uster says impacted players can use things like rings, watches and diamonds as leverage to secure the money they need to pay the bills.

He admits because of confidentially we might never find out which players have taken advantage of the offer, adding as a fan of the game, he hopes the lockout ends sooner rather than later.
