Critics say pipeline lesson plan in B.C. is one-sided

Supporters of the Northern Gateway Pipeline are speaking out against a British Columbia Teachers’ Federation lesson plan, saying it’s one-sided.
The lesson, geared toward middle school students, is entitled “What we stand to lose with pipelines and supertankers.”
The plan was created by environmentalist and teacher Michelle Hamilton and is intended to teach kids critical thinking.
Vancouver school board trustee Ken Denike says it doesn’t sound to him like kids are thinking for themselves.
Denike tells The Calgary Sun he doubts teachers will take the time to teach the opposing point of view.
