Calgary man found guilty in 2008 murder

A Calgary man has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of a man in 2008.
After two days of deliberations, a jury found 28 year old Sheldon Worme guilty of beating and stabbing 28 year old Daniel Levesque in the basement of his Braeside home.
The jury was given a statement during the hearing that Worme had told an undercover police officer he had crushed Levesque’s skull with a dumb bell.
Worme later testified he had made up the story because he was trying to impress the undercover officer who was posing as a crime boss.
An autopsy showed Levesque did in fact die of blunt force trauma.
