Bail bid for Okotoks murder suspect put on hold

The suspect in the killing of an Okotoks woman has had his bid for freedom delayed.

Jesse George Hill’s attorney asked for an adjournment at Hill’s bail hearing Wednesday to review new evidence.

Hill is charged with second degree murder in the death of Amy Sands in August — who police believe was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Sands parents, Okotoks Councillor Ed Sands and his wife Debbie, were present at the hearing.

Hill will appear before the courts again November 9th.
