Bing.ca the search engine of Microsoft has released the results of the most popular on-line searches of the past year.
Even though he was booed during his half-time performance at the Grey Cup, Justin Bieber was the top searched celebrity in Canada, followed by Miley Cyrus, and Kim Kardashian.
Spokesperson Andrew Yang says Bieber and his former snuggle bunny Selena Gomez were also among the most searched celebrity couples finishing third behind Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson of Twilight fame.
Yang says the passing of Whitney Houston made her the top searched musician of the year, with Carly Ray Jepson’s hit single , ” Call me Maybe ” taking top spot among viral video’s, beating other entries from Honey Boo Boo and Psy’s Gangnam Style.
Other popular searches include the i Phone 5, the impending arrival of Target stores in Canada.
