The star of TV’s Dexter says he’s horrified a convicted murderer may have been inspired by the character he plays.
Michael C. Hall told CBC’s Jian Ghomeshi the idea that Edmonton man Mark Twitchell was fascinated with the popular show is disturbing.
Twitchell was convicted last year of luring, murdering and dismembering a man.
The courts learned Twitchell had a “kill room” similar to one Hall’s character uses on Dexter.
According to The Calgary Herald, Hall says he doesn’t think the show advocates the lifestyle of a serial killer, but adds it’s troubling to think about.
