Diva’s Day fundraiser for cancer research

A Diva’s Day of Dynamic Health and Wellness, a special fundraiser for cancer research, kicked off downtown Sunday morning.
The day includes seminars and motivational speakers, including a life coach and wardrobe advisor.
Organizer Tamara Champagne tells 660News the afternoon is more about pampering.
“We have a number of volunteers from different businesses that are local to Calgary that are coming to provide different services for women that are coming for the day. So we have people coming to do mini-manicures and pedicures, facials and nutritional talks,” says Champagne.
There will also be aroma therapy, physiotherapy, group fitness classes and reiki.
The event goes at 123- 10th Ave S.W. until 5 p.m.

Tamara and three others, Beth Lucas, Taryn McNicol and Sheena Denscombe are hoping to raise $25-thousand for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by March 15th.
They are attempting to reach their goal ahead of a marathon they’re running in Tampa Bay, Florida at the end of April.
