It’s another successful chuckwagon tarp auction for the Calgary Stampede.
The event brought in just over $3.6 million dollars, the third highest total ever for the auction.
Stampede chuckwagon chairman Mark Damm tells 660News, there were some early concerns that may not be the case.
He says. “We’re really pleased because with the bad weather today, we had a number of potential advertisers that could not get into town, so we’re a little concerned about that, but things are panning out quite nicely.”
Damm says the average price for a tarp this year was just over $100,000.
