It’s not just about the money for the richest people in our country.
According to CanadianBusiness.com, trends are emerging in the wealthiest neighbourhoods aside from the large homes and properties with residents voting a little more conservatively and enjoying a little more champagne.
Managing Editor Mark Brown says Calgary’s richest neighbourhoods are west of the downtown core.
“Homes in the Calgary area are 10,000 square-feet, they have multiple rooms, multiple bathrooms, some as many as eight and ten, which wouldn’t be unusual. We even found one in Calgary with a grotto, if you can believe that,” says Brown.
The list doesn’t make note of the most expensive places to live but rather, the neighbours in which the people living in the area have the largest net worth.
Bel Aire and Springbank make the list in our City, with residents listed having a net worth of over $5.7-million and the average home costing about $1.5-million.
