Young boy hit by vehicle in Chestermere

A boy around the age of six-years-old is in hospital after being hit by a truck in Chestermere, just west of Calgary.

EMS spokesman Stuart Brideaux tells 660News, just before 4:00 p.m. Sunday, a boy was struck around Windermere Drive.

“The details surrounding this incident are being looked into by the RCMP. Early reports are it may have involved some recreational activity, where he was seeking to retrieve some play equipment that may have gone onto the roadway,” says Brideaux.

Brideaux adds the boy is in serious, but non life-threatening condition at the Children’s Hospital.
