Air Canada pilot tweets passenger to “shut it”

It probably wasn’t the response he was looking for.

An Air Canada pilot is getting some flak for a tweet he sent out to a passenger.

Someone with the Twitter handle @Raff had just landed in Toronto when he tweeted to Air Canada: “YVR to YYZ — stuck on tarmac, no updates for 20 minutes. What the hell hurry up.”

While the airline’s official account did tweet back, so did the pilot who explained it was a red alert because of lightning, but not before adding: “You just flew across the country in four hours. Shut it.”

The National Post reports the tweet has since been deleted.
