Calgary Library receiving record donation

It’s the largest donation of its kind in the library’s history.

A $1.5-million gift is being given to the Calgary Public Library Foundation.

The library will hold a celebration event Friday morning to announce the cash, handed over to the foundation by a corporate partner.

The announcement takes place at 10:30 a.m. at the John Dutton Theatre inside the Central Library, downtown.
