Family moves into dream home

Stampede hospitality took on a whole new meaning Tuesday as the Gaminde family took possession of the 2013 Rotary Dream Home in Chapparel Valley.

The couple bought the winning ticket at their very first Stampede just weeks after arriving in the city seeking work.

John Giminde says the family will stay in Calgary for good because this is where their luck is and as of Tuesday, it’s also where their new 23-hundred square foot luxury home is as well.

John and his wife Natilie couldn’t wipe the smiles from their faces as they cut the red ribbon at the key exchange.  “It’s mind blowing! We’re super excited and until now we couldn’t believe it because you see a brand new home without the mortgage…I’m so happy,” says Natalie.

She says this win will allow the Gimindes to save for their children’s future and while that’s most important to them, Natalie’s favourite part of the house is the kitchen.
