Bluetooth travel time signs installed on Glenmore, Crowchild

Motorists on Glenmore and Crowchild can access new travel information as they drive home from work Tuesday afternoon.
Five new portable signs have been activated on the roadways that will provide approximate travel times to various routes.
Transportation Spokesperson Julie Yepishina-Geller said similar signs on Deerfoot Trail have been a big success.
“We find that it actually decreases driver frustration because people know what to expect, and it keeps people’s eyes on the road, because they are not on their phones trying to figure out what’s going on in traffic,” she said.
The city continues to look at other roadways that might benefit from the signs.
The new system will operate Monday to Friday during the morning and afternoon rush.
