Whatever you do, don’t propose on Valentine’s Day

It’s one thing to stock up on candles and chocolates and add Barry White to the iTunes playlist, but one thing most women don’t want on Valentine’s Day, is an engagement ring.
A British poll found only 19 per cent of women wanted to be proposed to on Valentine’s Day, while 74 per cent said they wouldn’t choose that day for a proposal.
Nine per cent even said, they’d turn down a Valentine’s Day proposal for being too tacky.
The co-founder of the diamond company that commissioned the survey said the findings show most women appreciate something more original and unexpected; a proposal out of the blue.
