Avalanche warnings continue after fatal slide in B.C.

Another warning is being issued to stay out of the backcountry, after a deadly avalanche in the Kootenays.
Qne man was killed, and a woman had to be rescued when he and his friends trekked to the top of B.C’s Kootenay pass on Sunday.
The Canadian Avalanche Centre had warned skiiers, snowboarders and sledders last week about dangerous conditions and a risk of massive slides.
The warning remains in effect until Wednesday, but the treacherous terrain will likely persist.
The CAC says metres of snow on top of a weak crust are creating the potential for large scale avalanches.
