Boy dies at rodeo school

A 16-year old boy from Turner Valley, Alberta has died in an accident with a saddle bronc.
The teen was thrown from the horse yesterday afternoon and was kicked.
It happened while he was practicing for a saddle bronc event during the Haymaker Rodeo just before 5:00 p.m. Saturday in Thorsby, just west of Leduc.
Police and EMS arrived on scene and found several members of the public attempting CPR on the boy.
STARS was also called, but the youth succumbed to his injuries.
The incident happened during the junior rodeo training weekend.
