Forest Lawn drug house shut down by ALERT

The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams have shuttered a suspected drug house in Forest Lawn.

Police say the property has long plagued the neighbourhood with criminal activity; ALERT began an investigation into the residence on 41 Street SE in September 2012.

After witnessing behaviour that was consistent with drug trafficking and prostitution, they applied for an order to shut down the home.

Tuesday morning, officers changed the locks and boarded up the windows of the duplex, barring the tenants from entering the property for 90 days.
