A blast of winter will happen this weekend

It is the winter season that just never ends.
We are over a month into spring, but there is a snowfall warning for the mountain parks and a special weather statement for the Calgary area.
Meteorologist David Spence says the snow could be significant.
“I think in the city we can get maybe from 5-10 cm of snow. It will be one of those situations where the west side of the city, where the hills are is probably going to get significantly more snow than the east side of the city, where the elevation is a little it lower, but nonetheless, I think we should be prepared on Saturday for some adverse weather,” he said.
Spence says he like everyone else believes this has been a really long winter, but it isn’t unusual to receive large dumps of snow like this in April and May.
