Stampede Show Band arrives back in Calgary

The city has welcomed home our 2014 Calgary Stampede Showband.

The 124-member band has returned after winning an unprecedented third championship title in a row at the World Association of Marching Show Bands Competition in Brazil.

Band members are between 16 and 21 years of age. They’ve worked very hard, with over 800 rehearsal hours and 200 performances.

The Calgary Stetsons Showband finished second at the championships.
