Sneak peek of winter headed for Calgary

It appears Calgarians have adopted a ‘grin and bear it’ attitude towards the change in the weather.

The forecast from 660 Meteorologist David Spence calls for up to 10 centimetres of snow in the city Monday.

660News took to the streets to find out how people feel about the dramatic change in the weather, and most did not seem surprised or concerned.

“At least it wasn’t August this year, so that’s kind of, just expected,” one man said.

A newcomer to Calgary says he’s not happy to hear it could snow over the next couple of days.

“I see that the summer was really short, really, really short,” he said. “I hope it keeps raining like this, but not snowing for the moment.”

The bad taste of an early blast of winter won’t last; the long-range forecast calls for warmer and drier conditions later in the week.
