Avenue Magazine names top 40 under 40 in Calgary

Avenue Magazine is out with its annual list of the top 40 Calgarians under 40.
The honourees are chosen for demonstrating a high level of achievement in their fields, and will be celebrated at a special gala.
Avenue Editor-in-Chief Kathe Lemon says all of the 40 candidates are well-rounded individuals, with a passion for their industry and have created something new.
“A great example of that type of accomplishment is Fabrizio Chiacchia, he’s a bio-tech innovator, and he’s the inventor of CleanPatch, which is a technology that saves hospitals money, by being able to patch mattresses,” she said.
Lemon said another notable candidate is Carie Stock, Founder and Executive Director of the charity, Helping Families Handle Cancer Foundation.
The official gala celebrating the winners will happen at Jack Singer Concert Hall Tuesday at 6 p.m.
