Man in 20s charged in fatal assault in SE Calgary

A man in his 20s has been charged after a violent altercation in a southeast Calgary home left another man dead late last month.
Police were called around 9 p.m. on March 25, to a home on Crestwood Road SE in the community of Ogden for reports of a fight.
Officers arrived to find a man in his 20s suffering from life‑threatening injuries. He was rushed to hospital, where he later died.
Investigators say the suspects fled before police arrived.
The investigation led to officers executing a search warrant at a home on Citadel Estates Terrace NW.
Wedial Buom Met, 22, has now been charged with one count of second‑degree murder. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
Police believe the incident was domestic‑related and say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
