Calgary police say they’re getting closer but still unable to make an arrest in an Applewood stabbing from over two months ago.
Back on Dec. 10th, a woman and a man were sitting in a parked car around 11:40 p.m in the 0-100 block of Appleglen Park S.E., when another man knocked on the driver’s side.
After rolling down the window, some words were exchanged and the driver was stabbed repeatedly.
The driver drove himself to hospital in life-threatening condition and Det. Paul Wagman said at a re-enactment of the crime Tuesday, that the victim is doing well.
“This sort of offence, especially since it’s random, has a huge impact on the well-being of the victim, mentally, physically, he’s recovering well,” he said. “Even further, I think this probably has a big impact on the community.”
The suspect is described as Caucasian, in his 30s, six feet tall with a medium build and was wearing a black hoodie at the time.
“We’re looking for the public’s assistance in providing any information that they can as to the identity of this offender or if they had seen anything on that night in question,” Wagman said.
