Terror suspect arrested in P.E.I.

Another terrorism-related arrest in Canada, this time in P.E.I.

Mounties have arrested Amir Raisolsadat after a peace bond was ordered.

Not many details are known at this time including what Raisolsadat is accused of, where the arrest took place, or even how old the suspect is.

RCMP confirm the suspect was released on conditions and will appear in court again on April 20th.

This comes as the federal government continues to try and push through its anti-terror bill arguing new rules are needed to battle extremists.

The opposition has been critical, saying arrests like this prove the police don’t need added powers to do their job.
