Investigators are in southeastern BC after a collision and derailment of two CP trains Sunday.
Chris Krepski with the Transportation Safety Board says it happened outside Golden at about 2:30am.
“There was an eastbound train, travelling on the main track which struck another train that was in the siding. Everything derailed upright, and there were no reports of leaks or injuries.”
One of the trains was used for carrying potash but was empty, while the other was loaded with non-dangerous goods.
There are no public safety issues but the TSB has crews on scene looking into the accident.
