Calgary Liberal MP could be included in Trudeau cabinet
Canada’s prime minister designate is planning to announce his new cabinet in just two weeks and Alberta could be seeing some familiar faces.
There is speculation that two of just four Liberal MPs in the province could be handed a high profile portfolio.
Mount Royal University political scientist Keith Brownsey said that he would be shocked if the Calgary Centre Member of Parliament didn’t make the cut.

“Kent Hehr is one. And I think we’ll have somebody, I’m not sure exactly who, from Edmonton,” Brownsey told 660 NEWS.
Brownsey said that Hehr is a shoe-in because he has a great understanding of how policy works, how decisions are made, and he has a lot of ideas he wants to put in place.
“Regional representation. Alberta has to have somebody from cabinet, as Saskatchewan will have Ralph Goodale, the only Liberal elected in that province.”
When it comes to a formal sit down with Rachel Notley and the rest of the country’s premiers, Brownsey thinks Justin Trudeau is unlikely to make that happen before the Paris Climate Change Conference in December.
