Arts Commons hosts Happenings 2

Another unique celebration is happening at the downtown Arts Commons Thursday.
In May 2015, an open house called Happenings was a roaring success, and now they are doing it all over again.
Happenings 2 will be a reception for all the visual and media arts performers around the building.
Spokesperson Richard Lam says it will be a great chance to see some live performances.
“There’s going to be an animation station from Quickdraw, there’s going to be some films screened by the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers, and there’s going to be roaming panel discussions essentially. So, Peter Meadows from Tiny Gallery, will be going around to the different galleries and talking about all the artists and interviewing them,” he explained.
There will also be a free screening of a documentary called, We’re Still Here, about a controversial concept album by Johnny Cash.
The public is welcome to come out from 6 to 9 p.m.
