Two pedestrians have been struck while attempting to cross the southbound lanes of Deerfoot Trail.
Acting Sgt. David Fakas told 660 NEWS, they were called to the area near Seton Blvd SE just before 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
“The vehicles did attempt to avoid contact, but unfortunately, struck both of these individuals,” he explained.
It’s not known why the pedestrians were trying to cross Deerfoot.
They are in hospital in serious, but non life-threatening condition.
The road was closed for about two hours and the Traffic Unit will now investigate the circumstances.
