Man shot in Crescent Heights

A man in his 20s is in hospital after being shot in the community of Crescent Heights around 1 a.m. Monday.
There was still evidence of the grisly incident in an alleyway just off 1 Street NE hours later, as police probed the scene for clues.
Detective Haley Marquis says 911 was flooded from calls from people who said they heard gunshots, and someone calling out for help.
“We got into the area, and we found a male who had sustained some injuries, and he was transported to the hospital in serious condition, but he’s been updated to still serious, but stable condition,” she said.
She says this was not a random attack, but adds, there were no witnesses either.
Investigators are waiting to talk to the victim to try and learn more about his attacker.
