NBA comes to Calgary this weekend

The 2016 NBA All-Star Game may be in Toronto, but there’s plenty of action happening across the country before it, including this weekend in Calgary.
The league is holding two events with KidsFest on Friday at the Saddletowne YMCA followed by an All-Star Challenge on Saturday during the University of Calgary Dinos basketball games.
Coming to town will be former NBA veteran point guard Mike Bibby, as well as the mascot and dance team of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
“It means a lot,” Bibby said told 660 NEWS. “I started my career in Vancouver, so it’s good to just give back to the places where you start from and I think it’s going to be fun.”
Friday’s event will include clinics and dance classes and on Saturday there will be an open skills competition starting at noon at the Jack Simpson Gymnasium, with winners moving on to events during the Dinos games later that night.
Anyone who is 14 years of age or older can compete in the skills, three-point shooting and dunk contests and the grand winners will win a trip to Toronto for the All-Star Game next month.
