Housing starts continue to fall in Calgary

A weak December capped off a weak year in housing starts in Calgary.

According to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, 756 homes were started in the city last month, down from 840 in December of 2014.

The big drop was in single family homes, as multi-housing starts actually climbed by about 30 units.

Just over 13,033 homes were started in 2015, down from 17,131 the year before.
