NDP to announce job creation plan

After leaving royalty rates pretty much untouched on Friday, Alberta’s NDP government is now focusing on another part of the energy sector.

Trade Minister Deron Bilous and Energy Minister Margaret McCuaig-Boyd will announce a job creation plan focusing on the petrochemical industry Monday morning.

The government says the announcement will help diversify Alberta’s economy.

It will come down around 11 a.m., after the ministers tour NAIT’s Centre for Millwright Technology.
