Parking changes coming to YYC

The free short term parking lot at the Calgary International Airport is on the move.

In an effort to free up spots for people who stay there for over 30 minutes, they have moved the free short-term lot to the cell phone lot, which is to be expanded soon.

Airport spokesperson Jody Moseley said this has been in the works for a while.

“We’re looking at breaking ground for the cell phone lot as soon as early spring rolls around,” she told 660 NEWS, “Hopefully sooner than later. It should be ready and open in August of this year.”

Effective Tuesday, people using the pay short-term lot, will pay $3 dollars for the first 30 minutes.
