Parks Canada had to euthanize a wolf Tuesday, involved in an incident last week at the Tunnel Mountain campground.
Banff National Park issued a wolf alert a few days ago after an extremely bold pair of wolves entered a campground looking for human food; one even accessed a cooler.
Officials say they considered all their options with other wildlife management experts and reviewed scientific literature.
They’re reminding visitors to report all wolf sightings, to keep food and garbage secure and to never feed wildlife.
