Those iconic white hat volunteers you see at Calgary International Airport are being recognized Tuesday with a special celebration.

The program is marking its silver anniversary on Canada Day.

Since 1992, volunteers in white Stetsons have been showing air travellers the western hospitality that Calgary is well known for around the world.

A lunch time event is being held at the Airside Maintenance Centre on Aero Road starting at 11 a.m.
