Rope Square ready for Calgarians

It’s the best way to kick-off a day of stampeding — eating a free breakfast served up at Rope Square across from City Hall.
Christopher Loach with Calgary Stampede Downtown Attractions says along with a free breakfast, they also serve up a morning full of free entertainment, ranging from live country music to square dancing, and a hat stomp.
“You can get bacon cooked right inside your pancake,” he explained. “It’s a fantastic taste! People rave about them and you can get them right off the back of the Rangeland Derby Chuckwagon. It’s a neat way to connect yourself to Stampede.”
The Downtown Attractions Committee has been part of Stampede for the past 69 years.
Rope Square operates each day of Stampede, except parade day which is this coming Friday and both Sundays of the ‘Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth’.
